The owner of my company loves Trump. Should I quit?

Well, what should I do?

stop being a pussy

What he said. Segregate work from politics and if you don't like it, go to your safe space and cry it out

And to think these flapping pusses are the future of the world.

Amazon 🤷🏻‍♂️IKR Jul 25, 2017

If I were you, I'd leave. I know it's stupid to bring politics into work life, but it's important that you stand for your ideals. You can't respect your boss, your relationship in the company is already spoilt

That's a super helpful comment.. Must have taken all of your brain power to come up with it. OP- if your employer is anything like the super helpful commenter, get out! Also, it can be very hard to keep politics out of the workplace so soon after such a polarized election. If their business practices or behaviors in the office are at odds with your most core values, you are likely feeling very unhappy and uncomfortable there. If not, think of the long game and whether this position gets you where you want to be. Because he won't be president forever

Microsoft Redneck Jul 25, 2017

If the owner of your company loved Obama, would you work for free? Sounds crazy, right? Trump won't be president forever so find a way to ride it out.

The fact that Trump is the current president and the fact that OP's boss likes Trump are 2 separate things. Trump won't be president forever, but someone who voted for him will always be someone who at least at one time in their lives tolerated Trump (or worse, liked him).

I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but does that effect your job?

Loves Trump!? I'd leave if I had to constantly hear about Trump. Sounds like a small company you're at too. Should be easy to replace your employer in that case.

Entelo bmmS75 Jul 25, 2017

This is assuming their boss goes on and on about the guy. Or, god forbid you actually hear a view point contrary to your own. No, you don't get to just quit your job just because your boss doesn't like your team.

Microsoft hrtN12 Jul 25, 2017

put an Obama sticker on your cube you will get fired, problem solved

Maybe instead you should get involved in a political organization that can actually affect real change. If it's really that important to you, that is. Or if you just want to make a symbolic stand that won't make any real difference then quitting is the way to go for sure.

Solution Fuse realSlmSdy Jul 25, 2017

Don't be a triggered snowflake. Do your job as you were hired for, not entitled for. Or quit
