Thinking of getting a Model 3 with my sign on, thoughts?

Veritas mtv075))&4 Aug 19, 2019

Wasteful. Irresponsible. A fool and his money are soon parted. But it is your life. Not everyone is cut out to be an investor. Some of us have to be wage slaves for the rest of our lives. It may as well be you.

Amazon SmkWdEvyDy Aug 19, 2019

I'd rather be a wage slave than so afraid to spend money that I can't enjoy life while I have it.

Forreal. Single with 300k TC and acting like he can’t just buy a car that isn’t even that expensive.

Nutanix 1adja134 Aug 19, 2019

Remember, you have to account for taxes on your sign on. It’s more like 35kish

Microsoft 🦍Ape Aug 19, 2019

Less than that

Microsoft gogolang Aug 19, 2019

Do it!

Microsoft euwhvzb Aug 19, 2019

two schools of thoughts. 1. when you're young, you enjoy things more. a Tesla in your 20's and 30's is fun. in your 40s not as fun. in your 50s just ok. Life is short. Enjoy life and spend on what you enjoy that’s why you work so hard. 2. every dollar you spend is 10 dollars in 30 years if you had invested that in just a normal index. that 50K is 500K 30 years from now. Are you willing to blow 500K on a car in 30 years.

Ur Microsoft sign on is 50k?

Microsoft x4ls Aug 19, 2019

It will be more like 30K after tax which won't buy a model 3 but would make a move down payment on the Model S!

YoE?

Invest it you dummy. You’ll regret the car.

Nutanix 1adja134 Aug 19, 2019

Why are you so sure he’ll regret it?
