Just wanted to tell you how Google offers work. After the team match, you receive the offer and can then negotiate. If you receive the offer, moving back to team match is hard to impossible. be careful who you match with. TC 250k
Team match is everything. It can make or break your career at G.
What are the questions you should ask during the team matching stage, I find asking about the stuff like WLB awkward cause some managers seem to take it as a slight against them
This is common knowledge based on the hundreds of posts of people stuck in team match on blind. Also, be careful if you pass on a team that you are interested in. Not many teams are hiring, which will drag out you TM phase and maybe never match with a team.
Can confirm. Been in TM for almost a year. Probably not moving forward
The OP puts in the effort to write a post, and all you think of doing is putting them down by telling that's it's "common knowledge"? I guess one should be careful to not be matched to your team.
This is unfortunately not 2021. Your leverage is done, unless you are a strong mle or hardware engineer. So, even if you think the team that is being assigned to you sucks, there are plenty more in the pipeline that would find the team awesome.
Why hardware engineer?
Hardware is still hot. Cloud socs are still being heavily invested.
If there is no match there is no offer of course you can move back to team match, you would just no longer have an offer
Could somebody list some good orgs to consider and the orgs to avoid as a whole?
The ones that have headcount. (For both questions.)
I have a question. Context : I am currently interviewing at Google. Have had 2 rounds so far. 2 more to go. It's for Google pune, India. The recruiter reached out to me stating that the hiring is only for India. Question: After getting a green signal from the hiring committee, has anyone reached out to a different location's recruiter and successfully joined that location? Asking cuz recentl leetcode compensation post tell that it's giving really lowball offer for swe 3 in India. T.C. - 44 lpa INR ( L4 / SDE 1 )
Which teams have potentially bad work life balance?
;)
How would one “be careful who you match with”?
Ask more questions and be sure you like the location/team etc and most importantly comp which is changed based on the location.
Comp changes based on team match or only location?
