Thoughts on LSD?
I did LSD when Steve Jobs died because he said Microsoft wouldn’t have been such a shitty company is Bill Gates did LSD. It sorta broke my mind because I experienced Ego Death. Now I think about products in ways that make no sense to people but they are surprised by the results because they’re very outside of the box yet simple. Wondering if other people have stories, never met a PM who has done LSD. Tagging Google, Microsoft, and Apple because I assume you have very different opinions on this topic. Microdosing doesn’t count, I’m talking lost for 10,000 years in mayan pyramids and your cat talking to you in arabic by blinking.
I had a pretty good time. I got a little freaked out cause I didn't know it would last so long before I took it, and I couldn't even talk at one point I was so overwhelmed, but I had someone who was really good at talking me through it. Only other annoyance was I had the shivers so badly for most of it. But the experience was interesting. I was surprised how lucid you feel for how strange everything looks. And the next few days I felt really, really amazing. More relaxed than I've ever been since I'm kind of an anxious person.
Maybe it's because I did it alone by myself and I was terrified that if something had happened to me I would die alone at home and nobody would be able to help

Took a lot of lsd in high school and early college. Probably over did it - for me and my goofball friends it was really about how high we could get and stay in relative control. Turns out I was pretty good at it. Only a couple bad experiences. One time thought a friend was a robot and blew a circuit and I would have to take him home to his parents and explain why he was acting so weird. another time was camping in dark and couldn’t see below my knees because the swirl of colors. That was almost 30 years ago. Lately Been thinking about trying the micro dose thing. Not sure where to even hook up with some now? Amazon??? Phish concert? Dark web? I’d caution anyone against going into lsd experience with an agenda (eg dosing to make you more x/y/z). Just relax and following your inspiration. Finding a good environment away from people not tripping is critical - eg go camping with handful of friends where you can be as spaced out and weird as you want. Being Able to go for a long walk helps kill off some of the hyper activity. Smoke pot an hour or two after dosing and weirdness will kick into overdrive. Good music helps too. My preference is some good ole Grateful Dead.
The other thing I’ll say is when tripping with a small group, everyone is in the same “wave length” and you’ll all start noticing similar things that would have escaped perception otherwise. The personal connections can be quite intense. I wouldn’t recommend dosing alone, especially for noobs.
The stuff that I died on was from the grateful dead. Also heard independently from a friend the stuff she died on was from the grateful dead. I wonder if thats a coincidence.
Can confirm, also broke my mind. For better or worse though I’m still not sure. After having broke my mind and having to rebuild it back up, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who has something to lose
How did you build it back? I learned full stack engineering but then my thinking was super black and white for years.
Well basically I was mess for years and eventually pulled myself together. Had reform my identity of who I was. Ended up in a mental institution twice, I don’t really know how to describe how I built it back besides piece by piece. Fortunately I was able to go back to school and complete my CS degree after those experiences
Just go out and travel.. be healthy
I did lsd. But after I had already done mishrooms, and your first big trip is always the most intense imho

Did a strong dose a while ago and I had a similar feeling to you, but in hindsight it didn’t really change me significantly

I saw ants crawling on the floor when I first tried LSD. I thought I was dying because my hands became all wrinkly and I felt sick so I freaked out and called my friend who gave me the LSD. I asked him to help me go to a hospital but he was afraid that he'd be in trouble so he said no ambulance no hospital and he started guiding me through my experience: "Repeat after me! I am in control! I am not afraid! Everything will be fine!" Blah blah blah I hated it!!! It was the most traumatic experience I've ever had. Never did it again!
