I saw 10+ Linkedin posts about people leaving the company today. What’s going on there? #layoff
Don’t speak if you have no idea how the industry works, that overcharging is happening at the venue, promoter, artist level. Ticketmaster is just the scapegoat.
Do you think it's the ticketing software company and not the artist and venues setting prices?
Large scale layoffs, across every department. There’s no real revenue coming in, it’s to be expected.
3rd wave of furlough happenned...
Thousands are losing their jobs oMac...millions who work events haven't seen a paycheck for months. Artists set prices not the company. These are our friends and colleagues.
So are hundreds of millions around the world, obviously I don’t want you to lose your job; but doesn’t mean I can’t disagree with the business model you guys promote. I hope for the best for all the engineers at the company and the employees within the entertainment industry; but by the nature the way the company operates. I personally just disagree with it.
You can disagree with it, but just read above as we’re giving you context on how we really operate as a business. I don’t think you’re trying to comprehend it, you’re just choosing to stick to your bias of hating on the company. Your original comment of “these shitty companies need to die” is pretty insensitive and dismissive to all of us who got laid off.
A bunch of golden parachutes and no revenue what so ever.
