SGP is a lot more expensive and a lot less permissive than Poland. If you’re young and don’t have any ties to family then go to SGP. I can’t comment on the culture and all that though. So you’ll need to make that decision yourself.

I heard rent has increased 100% post Covid in Singapore.. it was already super high when I was living there pre covid I think that 150k US is not a high enough TC for sgp (You can eat very good for very cheap in food courts though)

Monthly rent of a room will be 1-1.5k sgd. A full apartment will be 3-4sgd. 150k usd is more than enough for a single person.

Room rent isn't ideal in Singapore. Not for blinders anyway. Full apartment, to be clear represents a one-bedder which is about 450sqf in space. That's what 4k gets you. If you need a bigger space, 700sqf is about 6k.

Is this a 2-2 offer? Seems low if so.

Come if you are young, single and want to explore different side of the world. Don’t come with intentions to settle down here.

I thought Singapore was great for families with kids as well

IDK, try going from a 5 bedroom house in the Home Counties on the border of a park to a 2 bed apartment in a high rise in the concrete jungle? It maybe ok education wise if academics are what you value. I’m not really sure how good it will be if you value life outdoors.

Taxes are very low. Rent is expensive. Food is cheap. Just go if you are young. Life is short.

Go if you’re living alone & want to earn as much cash as possible without being held back by taxes. I’m not & tbh I can’t wait to move out of SG now.

Amazon jLITvshs Oct 30, 2023

Why you want to move out?

Mostly because of the cost of living, especially when I’m the only working person for my family. Also the weather. I just couldn't get used to the heat. And the job market as well. Lots of the perks in my (now previous) workplace have been cut, and now they require us to return to our small offices full-time. My rent is too damn high already, at least let me enjoy all of what I’ve paid.

Culture is bad and being a non Chinese doesn’t help. You wouldn’t get a much better quality of life, either.
