This is big
It's finally out 🎉
Sounds like a cost cutting measure.
🤣🤣🤣 yeah big one though to avoid getting banned in US
Is oracle still a thing?
I don't think that prevents CCP from being profitable. They need to sell equities owned by Chinese entities at least.
I wonder how huge of a discount OCI had to offer TikTok
I don’t think so. Oracle Would be safe bet for tiktok given amazon or other major cloud vendor can be competitive enough for that company
Not much of one. Go look at OCI's standard bandwidth pricing. The highest per GB charge is lower than what AWS offers at its multi TB levels. Not to mention the first 10tb of egress are free on OCI (edit: 10tb free every month, forever) I really hope that OCI gets noticed more. It's actually a decent cloud and very reasonably priced, but people overlook it for the "I hate Oracle" thing. It's like overlooking Microsoft stuff at this point because of what Gates and Ballmer did. Zero licensing nonsense required to use it and FOSS is available for use. Oracle DB not required at all. I hope OCI, Cloudflare (who seems to be slowly but surely getting into the cloud game; their R2 object storage looks great), and others really put downward pressure on all of the other cloud providers' prices, especially their ripoff bandwidth pricing. We shouldn't be paying more than $0.01 per GB of egress to the internet under any circumstance.
AWS dumped
OCI > AWS
