Don’t know anybody at Tiktok. Please help on this. Sign on + relocation : 30k RSU: 60k/ year (pre-ipo valuation of 195/stock) Can I get help in evaluating these offers based on location/TC/ learning aspect. 1st year TC comes up to: 165/30/60 (255k)#tech Current TC: 150k Yoe: 3yrs #bytedance #audible
I've not heard good things about working at TikTok, but I dig their product.
Audible has great WLB, but you might not be challenged or see growth TikTok has famously bad WLB (see Blind reviews for expectations of evening meetings, since all decision makers sit in China), but you’ll probably learn and grow a ton What do you want at this stage in your life?

I am confused about the SRE and Product Dev career growth.
Yoe?

TikTok value per share is pretty meaningless. Do you know what valuation they’re computed for? Given the recent performance of Chinese tech stocks, the stock portion is very risky.
Is there anyway I can ask for the official current valuation document? Something like 409A?
Ask your recruiter. Huge red flag if they don’t want to provide this information. They could be computed at $5 trillion valuation for all you know. Their value is meaningless without knowing this.
Audible. Product dev >> SRE
Do not trust anything a recruiter says to you about bonus. They have nothing to do with your perf rating.
TBH low ball offer. Ask for 175k, 350k/4yr and 40k sign-on.

Tiktok has 996 culture from what I've heard
I've seen posts from employees that say this as well.
