Please Help :: Should I pursue CS Masters in USA or remain in India to join Startups?
TikTok vs. Snap - I have a pending offer with TikTok for a Account Management role 2-1, and a pending role with Snap as an Account Executive.. both roles have basically the same total OTE, but having a hard decision in deciding between the two as both have been/going through some transitions. Please offer any insight you can so I can make a decision. -thank you #tech #jobhunt #sales #jobopening @tiktok
TikTok seems to be in some trouble. I would say TikTok if they didn’t t have such a looking dead sentence above them.
Don’t fall for the lobbyist-driven political theatrics.
You think it will be alright? I hope so. I don’t like Thiel getting itself invoked so that Facebook can continue building the Facebook monopoly.
Snapchat seems like the safer bet. They’re the backbone of this country’s dick pic infrastructure and USA gov is not going to let a Chinese social media company kill off their favorite 🍆 📷 app
Snap gets a lot of flak externally but on the inside it's really not that bad (as an ex-FAANG x2). I work with sales, 90% of the people are great, politics aren't too bad since it's a smaller company and it's easier to get visibility, TC is competitive, fringe benefits are good (meal card, fitness, family/wellness). 4x mandated RTO is the big downer but it's looking loosely enforced and as an AE you'll be on the go constantly anyway. Snap takes good care of their salespeople. Last round of layoffs had some impact but wasn't as hard hit. Conversely I've got friends at TikTok and across the diff job functions, they're all working crazy hours. The growth has been phenomenal no doubt, but I'd be hesitant about losing my WLB.
Well what’s your OTE and break down of offers? That’d help a lot for opinion gathering
This is a post to bet in stock isn't it ?
I wish I don’t even seeing them going public anytime soon. I do predict a company May purchase them though.
