I am a VMware guy, started my career with VMware and Cisco UCS back in 2016. Slowly transitioned into VMware NSX. But with Broadcom’s acquisition, does it seem like a lot of customers are going to move away from VMware? I heard contract renewals are getting insanely expensive. There are barely any open roles for VMware NSX or just general VMware. I want to transition from VMware, I know these VMware NSX, Horizon, Cisco UCS, Dell Vxrail, some powershell and python. I am trying to learn Kubernetes, Palo Alto networks, Azure and terraform. Should I pivot to anything else or is this good enough? Any ideas? TC-170 YOE:7
Don't bet everything on one.. Learn multiple things and get expertise on 1-2.. Do a quick research in the market and see where is the demand.. Companies will take 3-4 years to move away from VMWARE products..
Let me know if you need any referrals for PaloAlto
