I am someone with 15 years of good cyber experience from big name companies looking to find L6-L7 positions in FANG companies in the bay area. I have lots of friends in the DC area, but I don’t have connections in SF. Any good recommendations?

Cyber is tough
I'm in security engineering. Frankly, no one cares about your previous years of experience. Most people in "cyber" are actually not technical enough and push compliance frameworks and controls and can barely string together a conversation with real software engineers. If you're an actual engineer with real hands on technical depth, congrats, you now qualify for an L3/4 position.
Security Engineering is just an aspect of Cyber Security though, and that aspect is pretty SWE/Dev heavy. There’s also DFIR, Incident Response, Malware Analyst/Reverse Engineer, Threat Intel, Detection Engineering, etc etc. on blue team And Red Teaming, Pen Testing, Vuln Management, Exploit Developer... etc etc. Cyber is a broad term and so is Security Engineering.
I don't know what a coupang is... But you've just proven my point. In the FANG's, security is seen as an engineering problem. All those positions you rattled off, are technical roles here requiring technical engineering depth.
