so it seems Tmobile wont allow existing remote workers from sprint (who have been 100% remote due to family reasons ) to keep working remotely. they insist we must go to office even if the office is in a different state altogether. This is severely F’d up. if this is not tearing families apart then what is? very sad that they are forcing peolle like me to migrate completely leaving our families behind or else face termination.
Network ?
Where and when did you hear that?
Which org?
You also say it seems, so is this just what you are assuming?
No it happened to me. Not assuming anything
That would not surprise me if that's the case. I expect more things like that to come in the next 6 to 12 months. Just the benefits for example are going to change...
Yes indeed
Seems an odd time to even discuss not allowing remote working. COVID and all 🤔😷
Haven't you heard? Covid is a political opinion now. Everyone is entitled to a position on the matter, it's part of being in a 'healthy' and free democratic society
Beyond shitty, but I’d expect things like that to continue. Company acquires another, doesn’t want to fire employees but needs to realize cost saving synergies.. seems like forcing people to make choices like this will help reduce employee count without actually firing people.
Exactly this. ATT has been doing this for years since they were acquired by SBC.
I kinda despise employee like you who thinks you’re entitled to wfh. Like your family so what
I despise people like you who thinks they can displace people from company that has been acquired where they have been working remote all along . No doubt you work for Comcast .
It’s obvious to tell who works for Sprint and who works for T-Mobile. The sprint side are a bunch of lazy legacy scum. Refuses to work hard. That’s why company was in the tank until T-Mobile bought us!
Would like the person who posted this to give a little more clarification of what was actually said to him/her
Either come work from office or quit since apparently T-Mobile don’t allow working from home.
It's really org dependent at TMO. Some are muchore flexible, but the general case is that T-Mobile is VERY old school in their leadership and think people working from home are lazier, despite evidence saying otherwise. I was shocked that a team joining our org is almost entirely remote, and then to learn it's the norm at Sprint. I think it's great, and T-Mobile should be more flexible. Sadly, it's not the reality 😞

Asians - what are your thoughts on asian female white male ?
Which org?
I suggest looking at transferring to different teams. Sounds like you have either bad management or your role has some inherent restrictions. Other teams can be flexible...
Confirm this varies by org. I was in a very restrictive team out of Bellevue HQ. I transferred to a team way more open to remote with most folks working 2-4 days remote before quarantine. Old org was mandating people go to office up until governor and CEO mandated it. Sucks if you are in a bad one.
