Broadcom pay correction for retained employees post acquisition

Post acquisition of Symantec and CA technologies, have you heard of Broadcom granting RSUs or higher pay to retained employees? Please share if any pay correction has happened as well. Not sure if this has already been discussed. TC: 27LPA 🥜🥜 YOE: 4.8 #acquisition

Got the market correction?

Broadcom Ltd. 54cards Jul 8, 2022

Higher pay? No. RSUs? Yes.

Any idea on what levels will get how much RSUs if retained

Broadcom Ltd. 54cards Jul 10, 2022

You’ll most likely get the same base pay you have at the time of close. However, if you are over paid and not worth what you’re being paid, you’ll most likely receive lower amount of RSUs to even it out a bit. Each recent acquisition has been different than the one before it. There is no way to know how this one will go.

Generally base was reduced by 1 lakh and 15k rsu were granted over 4 years at sse level

VMware strange7 Jul 12, 2022

15k RSU seems very less, given all the hype that Broadcom pays really well in RSUs

VMware Shkc08 Jul 12, 2022

This was good for symantec, CA as there salary was less. Vmware pay is better
