any one here who could help me with TC for the role of Senior engineering manager at castlgiht health , i have a call with recruiter
It's not a bad place to work. Maybe this depends on the team, like a lot of places. Sr. Mgr band should be between around 180k to 240k base, 15% cash bonus, and around 9500 shares per year as RSU refresh. Not sure what the RSU at hire is anymore. FWIW lots of people stay here for many years. On the other hand it's clearly not FANG comp levels and I suspect that even Walmart Labs pays more. Salesforce definitely does. If your only motivation is money you won't be happy here. On the other hand if you are more of a money + wlb + nice people, IE more balanced, kind of person you could be quite happy for many years.
Some of the people are nice but at the manager level politics is worse than at other organizations of similar size. Morale is low and attrition is high and as a result teams are pressured to do more with less all the time. We haven't really recovered from the layoffs last year, the merger with Jiff was botched and is dragging the engineering group down, and there is no trust in the leadership to do what needs to be done to fix things.
Yes, the merger was completely screwed up. I think leadership thought they were buying a better product, frankly. We've spent the past two years digesting that rock. Should be about another six months to a year before the episode is over, but once is, it's over. Hopefully they learned their lesson. We're not a company that is good at acquiring and integrating another company / product. That aside, what specifically do you think should be changed?
TC is gonna be around $250k but it's not worth it. There are better places to work in the same space of health tech and they'll pay better.
How much will be TC for senior UI developer
Don’t go there. I know a couple of friends who were extremely unhappy and moved out recently. They’ve layoffs every couple of years
Oh.. haven’t finalized yet , wanted to know the TC and have it as backup , any idea about the TC ?
