I’ve gotten FAANG Offer previously (wont say which one, but wasn’t Amazon), and many people not impressed or say things along of “company too big” or “Had opportunity and passed on it” and is rather work at tier 2/no name place. Also doesn’t have previous FAANG experience Are these folks:
Do you really think everyone in FAANG is brilliant and we should all fantasize about working there?

The truth is that big tech companies have real drawbacks in terms of fun/impact of work. On the other hand they tend to pay better and equity-based compensation carries less risk because they are usually public companies. They also tend to have more forgiving working hours than startups. You can get comfortable as a "lifer" but most people eventually get bored.
I feel for new grads, which I’ll be in 8 months, a small to mid size startup is best to start your career. More learning, more impact, and a better chance to quickly move up the ranks. At least that’s what my experience has been doing internships. And then, once you’re comfortable, you can move to a FANG company. Edit: feel free to prove me wrong because like I said I’m still in school and don’t know anything

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
They either read too much Hacker News and drank the startup koolaid, or they failed their FANG onsite lmao (or even worse, they're too insecure about even applying for fear of getting rejected and would rather criticize the entire FANG interview process altogether).
HN looooooves to complain about the broken interview process. Not even cscareerquestions has as many whiners about it.
