Yes Honeywell sucks
Had an uncle who worked there long ago when it was a good company. Not so good now.
What changed ?
Yes. Absolutely terrible. Strange culture but was a pandemic hire based in Atlanta. Heard a lot of comments that culture changed right before the pandemic and the mandate to relocate to hub cities emerged (pre 2020).
This is absolutely the truth in all the ways you may think. This is the most draining job I’ve ever had in my life. No sense of work life balance. Everyday is a fire drill. Systems do not map properly to each other so different teams are using different lenses to ask you questions. When people leave here, they run. Which is the systemic problem of why there is not that great of an onboarding process and why new people who come on board feel like they are standing in front of a firehose daily. The more time you stay, the more knowledge you may garner by self teaching. But that also leads to more of your time doing somebody else’s job or helping others out to figure out how to do theirs. Avoid at all costs. Please.
How long you have been in honeywell ? I’m struggling but during this economic it’s hard to jump outside Honeywell. Looking at internal change now Not sure if just other same thing.
I work in the software department in Atlanta, pretty new to the industry. Pros: Lunches are free and not bad. Snacks and beverages do exist in the office. Pay is good and so are the benefits. Every Wednesday they serve booze and food after work. Cons: I haven't been taught well at anything. Managers kinda just throw you into the pot and expect things to work out themselves. Said pot is a fiery shitstorm of an organization. I've been tossed around projects and teams with little communication, and the communication is so poor here, nothing really makes sense. Leadership is all about giving tall and vague asks, not giving you much support at all, and acting frustrated when unclear expectations are not met in unreasonable time frames. Half of the organization is in India, making it hard to communicate and coordinate with your team/coworkers. The atmosphere here is overall not great, I've had talks with older coworkers who have expressed their dissatisfaction as well. I would really not recommend this workplace environment to anyone.

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
Had a coworker work at Honeywell a while ago for more than 20 years, he said the corporate culture shifted after a buyout and there were fights in meetings, don't know how it is now though
He/she worked at Honeywell for 20 years?
Yeh, new Mexico I think?
