Answer is no
It is not. In fact MS has several proprietary models that are better than GPT3 (language) and CLIP (images) for example. MS also has some other state of the art speech processing models. However, MS does not make these models public cuz the focus is on IP/patents/B2B. I think now mgmt has realized they need to change their focus and learn something from Open AI.
Cool insight. I know of the speech models, which are very impressive (particularly the speech clone), but I just didn't know how they all stack up.
Also seems another hesitation for making them public is the concern for ethical violations and misuse.
