Don't. Just don't. The pay is peanuts. There is no stock/RSUs/equity compensation. Bonuses are microscopic, at most 3%. The health/dental/eye insurance here is not cheap --- you have to pay out a good chunk and still have to pay a high medical bill. No free cafeteria food. No snacks. No wifi reimbursement if you are WFH. None of the perks of a tech company. The tech here does not challenge you to be a better software engineer. You will be frustrated with non-tech people. There are SWEs here that don't know how to code. Everyone working here wants to leave for greener pastures. #warning
And the managers will treat you like crap. To elaborate the managers at companies like AmEx with availability of Indian resources have become world class assholes
Doesn't Amex mainly contract out to WITCH
WITCH+ meaning more than 7 companies when I worked 10 years back. Now there could be more of them
Same with my company
It’s not a tech company. It’s a company with some technology. They view you as a cost center and not the heart of the business. Jump to a tech company, and you’ll be more appreciated, and much more richly rewarded.
Are you saying AmEx or did you mean HSBC 😂 Seeing exact same shit here
Same bs at my place too
