What do I do? I took this job while I'm college and hate the company culture, managers don't look at what I do and blindly compliment my work. Seeing some results for sales but I am not being given enough work with relatively no goals.
My advice would be to take on some initiative to address or solve a gap your department is facing… perhaps it will get you the meaningful work you're looking for
That's what I am looking to do. I am working with a couple groups within my area but it never seems to close the massive gaps in work. I will definitely keep pushing for more and look to independently take on this. Thanks for the tip!
This group is actually one of the few segments that's growing. It's doing well just not keeping me busy and occupied

I agree it's a career killer. you can try looking for an interesting team to switch to or taking initiatives proactively. give yourself a timeline and eject if it still doesn't work out.
That is the goal for now. Just hate to give up on things
so you are an intern or a permanent full time emoloyee?
Intern
Enjoy it.
if you're looking to fill in time and learn, I have more work than can get done. Please private message me to see if we can help each other.
Wait until bonuses and stocks vest, then find a new challenge. Everything is a stepping stone.

In sales i am not sure but in software development it is a career killer role you are talking about.. i am relatively in a similar position but i always try not to get sucked into it by doing stuffs on my own
It's really hard because I am still trying to learn as a soon to be grad and I took this as a resume booster as well, it's clearly not
