What are the top AI companies positioned to move fast and innovate? And why? OpenAI is an obvious choice. After seeing the deluge of AI at Dreamforce this year, I’m so curious what organizations excite this community.
Salesforce
I imagine AI innovation from SF will come via acquisition
Probably not anytime soon though. We’ve been doing a lot of layoffs and obviously more are coming. I also don’t think a lot of our big acquisitions have really paid off, like Tableau. Slack at least gets used internally but it’s still not really needed, there’s a lot of other applications that do the same thing, Discord, I know Google has another. So my guess is corporate is hesitant to spend more on acquisitions, especially with interest being so high. Maybe in a few years they might buy a smaller AI company but I doubt it’ll have much impact in the grand scheme of things. I feel like a licensing deal with OpenAI is more likely
Wendy’s
AI the crap out a frosty
Albertsons
Google, Meta, OpenAI
Google and Meta lost to OpenAI
I don’t think AI will have 1 winner… the quality of AI output from Google and Meta Is definitely Impressive
I disagree that large public companies will move fast and innovate. They will buy the small guys that move fast and innovate.
Databricks
Small companies: Character AI, Runway ML, Midjourney, Ideogram, Adept AI.
