Saw a position for a Microsoft for Top Secret Clearance. Anyone have any insight into this? Are there any big companies hiring for clearances? Edit: because people don’t know, it’s perfectly okay to advertise a TS Clearance job publicly Reference: https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.clearancejobs.com/2013/08/13/is-it-acceptable-to-list-clearance-level-on-a-resume-clearance-q-a/amp/
Then it wouldn’t be Top Secret

Raytheon, Boeing, Northrop Grumman
Screw them
MS and Amazon do a lot of consulting/government contracting, especially cloud services.
Mr. Putin, is that you?
AWS and Azure are building out their Gov-specific cloud platforms so I wouldn't be surprised by these listings. Last I heard they were both competing for a $10B Pentagon contract so there's plenty of reason to have cleared engineers.
Do you have any contacts at AWS who might know more
No one I know from AWS is working on the platform specifically but if you search "AWS GovCloud" on LinkedIn there are a few job openings and hiring managers who you could reach out to to learn more. Good luck!
Most of the time you just write cleared if you have some sort of clearance and then only apply for the ones you actually qualify for. :) Source: ex TS cleared, expired years ago, so glad to be out of that game Ps: have contacts at govcloud and google fed because once you’re in, you’re in for life... if you’re in the market with an active TS
Good or bad to be in that market? If you have say an active TS. Good/bad?
DM’d you
Yes they are all hiring people with clearances - Google not as much as MS and AWS though as Azure and AWS have Fedramp high (can support secret and potentially higher) cloud offerings - Google does not (yet).
We @ Databricks hire folks with clearance as well
Databricks is Spark and Hadoop stuff right?
Spark (Big Data) and AI, no Hadoop [technically]
I recently joined AWS and Amazon is hiring cleared professionals very aggressively in Herndon and Seattle area. Mostly looking for Software Developer Engineer, Systems Engineer, SysDev, and Support Engineer. If you are interested and have TS/SCI or higher, please PM me.
Interesting.. everyone here made me believe that a clearance inside tech was not worth it
How's the TC compared to other Amazon SDE roles? Any TC differences between Herndon and Seattle?
Nice try, KGB
