Saw this list on Quora. What do you think about this list? https://www.paysa.com/salary-rank#!rank=Top+100&location=all&compType=total
Terribly inaccurate list. Also, seems to be counting stock that for most startups is worthless at worst, highly volatile at best.
I thought so as well. Probably counting RSUs. But even with that, why is Google just one above Microsoft? We all know Microsoft pays dick for RSUs after initial signing award. Data seems incomplete. I suppose it does call out that you don't have to work in big tech to have a good income.
FIIK. Terrible list.
Seemed low to me
from The Information article: "For this study, Paysa data looked at software engineers of all levels but excluded “senior” software engineers and managers."
In accurate by a long way.
Even I think it is fairly accurate salary provided who want to have an overall idea of the compensation including RSU.. I like the site with a very good UI and lots of other information
Haha :) completely wrong
Payasa guy is using Quora to market his irrelevant findings - salaries cannot be predicted and averaged- it is highly variable.
That's why there are 75% confidence intervals. And I don't think it's that variable for non-senior SWEs. This seems accurate to me.
It's not Uber
Various salaries listed for companies I have worked at are off based on my knowledge.
