'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of Indiaā
Toronto as a tech hub loses out to Bay Area (maybe Seattle too) hands down in almost every respect. But if the choice was between a non bay area city vs toronto, would you prefer toronto? What would you pick under the backdrop of current immigration issues.
The bay is trash as far as quality of life. I'd take any other city.
Ahhh... Why don't they build any tall buildings?
Because earthquakes?
As someone who has lived at both (and currently in Bay Area). The problem with Toronto is that there is no VC culture, hence no ātech sceneā. The pay is also significantly lower for the same work. What makes it more unattractive is that its not the cheapest to live in either. Taxes are high in Canada and rent is expensive in Toronto proper.
Keep in mind guys housing in Toronto is not cheaper than Bay Area, wherever thereās Chinese and Indians the housing will be expensive for sure.
It's almost certainly cheaper... Have you ever been to Toronto? It's definitely creeping up but as of today it's still 60% of bay area housing price
Lol not really, you can check it out yourself using Redfin Canada. Grew up there btw
Toronto is everything that sucks about Bay Area, without the good TC or weather.
Right now immigration sucks the most about this country.
What do you mean? That it's too easy/hard to get in to Canada/US?
Toronto suburbs are not too expensive. Staying in Bay Area is worth if you are making north of 300k as TC
4 bed SFH in Richmond Hill is north of 1MM USD, last time I checked. They donāt have Zillow which is kinda inconvenient.
Redfin entered Canada
Seattle is still much better than both. And thereās Vancouver nearby if you like Canada.
Depends on the person. For me, Toronto >>> any US city. Lm
Lived in both currently in Toronto. Salaries suck in Toronto but culturally a much more diverse and interesting place to be. Food is amazing and there is always something going on. Crime is low, public schools are decent life is a lot easier.
People probably don't like Toronto because of low salary plus weather.
The weather seems gloomy there.
