Flew here for the first time for an interview and staying near Mission district. Can't understand why's there so much hype about this city. Below are some of the early impressions: -Ultra inflated prices -More homeless than normal people -People peeing in the streets -So many druggies (saw people injecting themselves while walking on Market St) -Super dry weather -Ancient infrastructure I imagined all this sooo differently. Big disappointment!
Exactlyyy, I was so excited to come here and worked hard to land an interview. But I found the city so bad
City shitty, talent pool and work šš¼
Seattle not far behind. Tech hubs are dumps.
Seattle is gorgeous
*WA is gorgeous.
If only we can have SF-like salaries in TO or Vancouver
Been crying about this for years. Not sure i can justify a 50% pay cut just to sing more drake
You have way more benefits as a citizen in Canada thought
Yep def SF, but also seems like your basing this on a small area ie. Soma, Mission, Civic Center. If you check out Marina, Nob Hill, Pac Heights then youāll see really nice areas without any homeless. Not saying SF is worth the price but there are definitely nice areas that donāt have any of that shit you described
Troll/journo. A real Canadian is so nice that they would apologize before criticizing, esp. when they offer it after visiting for 1 day in 1 hood :)
Well that's true, my bad
SF is a shitholes city.
The best part of visiting SF is that you get leave.
Everyone is in SF for šµšµ
SF is awful.
