Hey what’s the total comp of L6 meta ? I just got an offer. Levels FYI has been changing. Pls let me know the breakdown. How much difference will it make if I choose SF vs seattle. TC right now - $450K. L7 PM amazon
How many years experience did you have as an L7. Are you a PM or a PMT?
Yes
It varies based on your background. Not enough info provided to help you yet.
Hey. I have 9 years of overall exp and 4.5 years of product experience. Possible to share ?
How about you share your offer and we can tell you if it's low or high?
I an in team matching
How does Team Matching go? I am going to be interviewing with Meta soon. Are there lots of roles to match with? Or are there only a few openings with lots of candidates at the “team matching” phase? Are any remote or you need to be in person in Bay Area to have a shot?
What’s your offer?
They can match 450k. Maybe go up to 500k. Don't think they can do 600k
The L5 offer I got was close to 400k in Seattle back in 2021. According to my friend there, 500k is easy. 600k is possible.
Grindmind - this makes no sense. Why will anyone go to another firm at the same pay. Pls don’t make senseless comments. Halahkk. Thanks for sharing your 2021 offer.
Mind sharing what top 2/3 things stand out in your resume that got you the L6 interview at Meta ? I have similar overal and PM yoe as you and get reached out for L5 only
600K possible if very high in band (lots of YOE, crushed interviews, specialized skill set, etc) 450-550 more common
In Seattle it’s about the same as your current tc. There’s no big bump if that’s what you’re looking for
YOE?
9 overall. 4.5 as PMt.
That’s pretty much bottom of the band L7 PMT. Top of the band L7 PMT caps at 820k. L7 Amazon to L6 Meta makes no sense especially with minimal upside left in Meta stock. I had L7s on my team join as L7 or M2 at Meta. Have seen several L6s join Meta as L6. Given you are bottom of the band, you either have performance issues in which case any offer makes sense, or you were recently promoted or are an L6 in which case it is pretty much a lateral move.
