Application got through and recruiter is asking What is your total expected annual compensation (please include base, bonus and any equity)? I come from a marketing agency background with lots of CPG experience and Amazon is one of my clients. Not sure how to answer this. Job is in Seattle
What org? That makes a difference
Lending
L5: 160-200k tc. L6: 200-240k tc.
After agonizing over this all yesterday I replied with For total annual expected compensation, I'm sure the offer will be in line with market rate for the role and my skill set. Given my research this seems to be around $200K-$230K. Got an invite for time submissions today
L6. They said in the first interview it's an individual contributor role
My friend had a similar request and his response was what is Amazon paying for this role. Nothing wrong with asking them the question if you are not sure the number and are worried about lowballing yourself or shooting too high.
Yes don’t feel obligated to respond with a number.
So what was the final offer?
I did 2 phone interviews. But it wasn't a good fit on both sides so no offer
Bump
L6 in marketing is going to pay you about $250K.

$350k total comp - $170k base is the cap I heard?
Seriously? This is insane compared to my current comp. I dont want to price myself out but don't want to short change myself either
Yep there is the base cap of 167-170k and the rest is equity. The vesting schedule is unique where most of it vests at the end.
