What does "trading with stocks" mean? Active management? Day trading? Buy and hold? Picking stocks? Actively managed mutual funds? Index-tracking mutual funds? Obviously some of those are gambling (at least to the experts I know), but obviously some of those are not (at least to the experts I know). Your question is as meaningful as, "how long is a piece of string?"
