I am currently in a business analyst role with sys admin and project management duties. Would love to get into PM and DS at least initially to add value in my projects. What kind of training do you recommend for me to pick up on the skills? Online classes, networking, boot camp, Google shit to learn? At least from personal experience, I find self study to be incredibly slow. Curious to hear your bootcamp experience like GA and whether or not that that's worth it. I would do it but the I am just cautious of the huge opp cost.
You need to pick one or the other. Those are vastly different tracks. Coursera's Data Science class is the best one online. Unless you're already at least an analyst or have a stats background, you won't get into a DS bootcamp that's worth the money. Start with Coursera and see how you like it. If you're debating between PM or DS then it doesn't sound like you've done in depth research into either.
