Transition into architect role

I'm currently a SWE and transitioning into Senior Dev / Associate Dev Architect. There will be a one -year long architecture curriculum. It is cloud focused but it seems like the track is very tailored towards the company. I also don't want to stick around forever since the pay isn't good. Any tips and advices from other architects on what to focus on learning / practicing in my slack time? Apart from leetcoding? TC: 140k / 4yoe / bay area
