What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
Never personally spent time on certs. Someone else can weigh in on that. SQL/Python is standard for interviews and actual job usage and probably what you will get asked about most, followed by data modeling. Also expected to know ETL/ELT patterns, data lake design and related subjects, approaches to analytic data modeling (i.e. star vs norm vs denorm and when to do what), familiarity with MPP warehousing, Spark and its quirks (and large scale dataframe based ETL in general). Maybe machine learning concepts some roles as well.
So should I start with learning python? Will it be just pandas?
