PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
My partner who is from non-tech is planning to do part time MBA on H1B. Is it a good career move? Will it result in RFEs in future? Is it worth it? TC 120k
No, h1b is not only for tech roles. MBAs have h1b too
Do you think part time mba can help get into tech?
I’m assuming your partner wants to become a PM? MBA is one way to get into it, but it’s not exactly a guarantee in the way that getting a CS degree will set you up to become an engineer. The school they are getting the MBA from will make a big difference as well; if it’s not a brand name school it might not be helpful, TBH. Does your SO have experience working in tech/with engineers, or as a project manager? What do they do now? If they can get their foot in the door at a tech company, they may have more luck transitioning internally.
Isn't h1b for tech roles? To be a TPM , get Technical first, MBA and other project management can be done quickly
Does companies like Microsoft, amazon have functional roles that sponsor h1b?
