Does anyone have experience transitioning out of the data engineering space into a more generalized SWE role or application developer role? I’m feeling ready for something new and I’ve always wanted to learn how to build my own mobile applications, but I’m not sure if this is a smart move for a career. Would it be better to stick with data engineering as a career and build mobile apps on the side? How does the job market and salaries look for mobile app developers? Is it worth it? #engineering #swe #iOS #android #dataengineer
Hi, Please don't do that. Mobile application development is not very niche skill compared to Data Science.
This is data engineering not data science
Hi OP , off topic I have seen a couple of roles that fit my profile at Amex , can I please DM you if you’re willing to refer Thanks
