Travel during H4 to H1B transfer
My wife is on H4 and her employer may file H1B in April. Can she travel out of the country for a week in the month of August ?

If her H4 is valid she can come back on that if H1 if it’s a lottery (not a transfer) aka a new case. H1 will only start in October in that case.

Yes. She very well can. It's sad to see how scared everyone is. Don't live your lives in fear guys. Most of us have multiple degrees in STEM. As long as you're confident and not doing anything wrong, the US will always have a place for you.
It is always better to get I 797 and travel. If she goes India without stamping that's is fine else she have to take interview.
