In past, whenever I have interviewed the company has booked the tickets and hotel stay before. I have on-site with Oracle and they want me to book the tickets and they will pay later. I don’t even have the money right now to book. Is this an usual practice? What should I do?
put it on a credit card with a sign up bonus and book with the airline that you'd like to earn status with (assuming you have the credit to do so)
I have never heard company asking candidate paying for ticket, most of big companies have travel group to take care of big items like air ticket and hotel.only Incidentals are expensed later
Paid a month back haven’t gotten anything back
Red flags . They should handle flight and hotel.. not sure about airport to hotel.. some have and some havent.
Are you a new grad? Or a new immigrant? If so, ask the recruiter to book them, they have coordinator people who do this work for them.
I asked them, I am not sure they will do it. I was laid off recently, I don’t have that much cash right now.
This is typical on other industries, just not tech.
DoorDash does same
That sounds cheap on Oracle part.
