Traveling to India, US visa expired
My US visa has expired. I have a dropbox appointment next week. With the covid situation in India, is it safe to travel? I’m fully vaccinated but I’m worried about 1) Getting my folks infected 2) The US consulate closing before I get to my appointment. #workvisa #travel #india #h1b #covid-19 #usembassy #consulate #workvisa

Why do you need to get a visa? You can always apply for extension from within.
Most likely drop box will also be suspended until the situation stabilizes. Last year they suspended Dropbox multiple times. Also you would be stuck if borders are closed(most likely will be). So think twice and travel only if it’s an emergency.
Dropbox timing is a hit or miss. Don't travel unless emergency
