Startup idea: travel website with airfares and hotels. Maybe name if after something that can capsize.

Better startup idea, let’s sell books online!!! Let’s name it after a river.

I would say a standard lunch can be around $11-$22 AUD, ranging from takeaway/ food court to a sit down average restaurant. Whereas dinner would be around $15-$30 if you aren't visiting any fancy places.

Also no tipping culture. My numbers come from what I see in Sydney, which should be similar to Melbourne

about the same as somewhere like NYC or SF, but 1:1 between USD and AUD. so, cheaper because of exchange rate. remember not to tip unless you got great service. basically everywhere takes credit card. enjoy the coffee and don't order Fosters. shopping might seem more expensive because there are a ton of import duties. but remember also tax is included in prices everywhere.

I’m from Australia and had to think a little about these acronyms. Why use acronyms when there’s a good chance you’ll need to explain them. For others; GBR=Great Barrier Reef and GOR=Great Ocean Road.
