Has anyone tried triplebyte for ML Engineer interviews? How was your experience with it and at what stage of your prep did you apply for it? TC 155k Yoe 4
just passed their MLE interview and was put on the fast track. going live tomorrow. hoping for the best.
Overall, it is pretty easy. The most difficult part, which isn’t so difficult, is to write an ML algorithm from scratch. The ML algorithm is simpler than a logistic regression. I’ll let you guess which algorithm it was so as to be respectful of their process. Otherwise, you are asked high-level questions about some ML algorithms and asked to fit a model to some data.
Any systems design questions?
Yes, there was a system design question. However, I believe the question was to describe how you have designed a system you have built. There were four parts: 1. Write an ML algorithm from scratch. 2. Answer ML and software engineering questions (they caught me off-guard with the famous bloom filter question, also expect questions about CNNs and trees). 3. Fit a model to data after feature engineering, EDA, and imputation. 4. Describe a system you have designed.
