By good I mean: Proper regular fit, sits at waist. Nicely tapered bottom (dont like straight fit from docker's, but no better alternatives). Comfortable, slightly stretchable for long hours at work. Doesnt fade after a few washes (GAP fails here sadly). I have been disappointed by several stores and brands. Currently making it work with Docker's chinos and Levi's 501.
Bonobos stretch, could try rhone
Nordstrom has some good stuff in the $160-200 range. Like wearing PJs...
Are trousers just pants?
Casual pants
Hugo boss
Outlier Slim Dungarees. Best pants I own.
Bonobos
This. Or something expensive from Nordstrom / Bloomingdale's Sadly you'll need to spend at least $100
Not a popular brand, but Land's End lighthouse chinos. Not super expensive and they work great.
Joe's jeans. Get them at Nordstrom. $200 a pair, but worth it. Look like really nice jeans, feels like sweat pants.
Grzzz $200 a pair? We are not buying tuxedo or suit here.
A decent tailored suit will run you a lot more than $200. This is about right for a pair of casual pants.
