Not at all. CS is kind of a weird and poorly defined major in most schools which ends up being a mashup of systems, discrete math, statistics, and software engineering. So really as far as math is concerned it just contains a subset of the concepts you'd learn as a math major,just like an aerospace engineer might understand fluids mechanics but be clueless with regards to quantum mechanics.
I majored in both math and CS at my school. I disagree that purity == complexity. There’s little dumbing down of math, and it’s more or less the same in many colleges as it is very abstract and able to be generalized to many college courses. The applicability of CS opens up a lot of doors for difficulty.
