Never thought about the Kurds? You kidding me? The left all over the world has been breathlessly following the experiment happening in Rojava. I've known people who've gone and fought for the YPG and American troops who've been stationed with them to help defend against ISIS. If you don't know about what's been going on in northern Syria (YPG liberated the most cities like Aleppo/Robani/Raqqa from ISIS) then you're just as dumb as that libertarian presidential candidate who tanked his campaign when he famously said "what's Aleppo?"
Turkey is an ally of the US and they are at war with the Kurds. WTF is the US doing supporting both sides? If the US really wants to get involved, just go to war and get it over with. This multi generational p*s*ying around and manipulating friends and allies is what makes half the world hate the US (the other half doesn't give a shit). The US has a bloated military and no meaningful use for it - hence the meaningless never ending proxy wars. Meanwhile, they can't even secure their own borders and are running trillion dollar deficits protecting super wealthy countries that laugh at the stupidity of the US and its taxpayers while offering their own citizens expansive social benefits.
