I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
What do you think the big tech companies would do in case it ends up being Trump vs Warren? In general, at least publicly, big tech appear very progressive and against Trump, but then again Warren has threatened to break up the big tech and instantiate a wealth tax. tc:350, yoe:11
Remain insanely wealthy
Wow! TIL average tech workers should be afraid of a 2% tax on your 50,000,001th dollar.
Lol. God help us.
Well I'm f*cked... That 2% on the dollar will hurt. TC 50,000,002
It’s not that easy to tax the rich. There are countless creative ways and vehicles to avoid being taxed once you’re rich. They aren’t like corporate worker bees that get a W2 and can’t escape being taxed. So once again, a big fat dream that will just end up being paid by middle class.
By taxing the rich they mean taxing high W2 income folks.
Warren is proposing taxing people’s assets in addition to their W-2 income.
SJW religion will win out - Warren will get 95% of SV votes.
Definitely will cause a market crash. But I want a market crash anyways so bring it on.
I'm not so sure about big tech being all progressive. Progressives might be louder, but the rest just doesn't bother to get involved with them. Especially if you consider those in tech who actually can vote.
Hillary, the worst candidate in the history of politics, received over 90% of the Bay Area vote
Trump did not do well in Silicon Valley in 2016 and I can’t imagine him him doing much better in 2020 against Warren
The only way to tax the rich is to arrest everybody on the Forbes list and confiscate their wealth. Otherwise it just won’t work.
why?
Gotta do it like Mohammad bin salman.... I dont know if I have his name right
Doesn't the 16th amendment limit the federal government to only taxing income? Not a US citizen and would like to understand. Liberal tech bros who hate the constitution need not respond.
Liberal tech bros who hate the Constitution are a myth. The 16th amendment allows a Federal income tax... It actually expanded the Federal government's legal rights to tax.
Government doesn’t have rights. Rights are inherent in the People. They allow government to do certain things.
Will be an ever funnier election. Please god let it be her.
