I accepted an offer with IBM back in April. I'm trying to move to a tech hub/city from my MCOL city in the southeast, so I was wondering if I should apply to new companies now, and if so, should I leave on my resume the IBM experience or just take it off and show a gap? IBM is the first "well known" company on my resume, since my previous ones were a no-name startup and a crappy outsourcing company. TC: 100K YOE: 2.5
I'd leave it on, it could take 2-3 months for you to accept an offer, at which point you'll have enough experience at IBM that it's worth keeping
Just persevere for a few more months. Start interviewing from December. By April next year, you'd be able to start the new job (1 year on resume). It's the first brand on your resume. Just make it count.

Hypocrisy of Indians
What's wrong with IBM? Did you get laid off?
I'm still employed, I found out that I was lowballed with salary and the team I'm on is really disorganized. Wasn't planning on staying long-term since FAANG is still a goal of mine and I want to move out of the southeast, but just wanted to see what other people think, also considering the state IBM is in right now.
