I want safe location with good downtown, and proximity to Whole Foods, Traders Joe or other healthy stores. I prefer single family or maybe 2 flat. $900k price range with lower property tax. Schools not important as kids will graduate soon. I am currently paying premium for schools, and living 1 h 30 min away with train and subway 😡
Low property tax also means run down neighborhoods. How much property tax you prefer to pay on a SFH ? Avg is now getting closer to 10k for NJ. Cannot escape high property tax in the tri-state. Move to PA
14k is fine. I pay 32k now
Damn. That must mean your house is currently valued between $1.7–2 million. 🤑
Metuchen/North Edison or maybe Cranford/Westfield Aint getting low property taxes in locations that fits your criteria
Commute to NYC? Try Newark, NJ, but in the nice neighborhood near Newark Penn Station. NJ Transit makes the commute very fast.
Hoboken
I’d rather buy in NYC for that price
Also, Hoboken is prone to flooding
Closter, Cresskill, Tenafly area.
That’s probably 1 h 25 min commute door to door
Fort Lee then.
