Layoffs at Dell Technologies

Hey everyone, Dell Technologies laid off about 7k - 8k people early Feb and I along with my team got impacted. I would like to start interviwing for Product Manager roles. I have 4 years of PM experience from Dell. Have Masters in Machine Learning. Experience with Python and R. Have experience with ML libraries like NumPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, Scikit-Learn. I was wondering if anybody could refer me for any open PM roles. Please DM me if you would like to chat or could give me a referral. 7k-8k! Where did you get this number from?

Sorry to hear. Confused though. Your past experience doesn't seem to jive with the role of a Product Manager. Your experience seems to be a better fit for an engineering role. Not that Dell has any clue about the role of a product manager, but do you have any business background or formal education as well?

I know. Have some entrepreneurial experience in the past. Got hired as software engineer but got shifted to PM.

Dell doesn't do Product Management so I would say you don't have a whole lot of PM experience at all if you're wanting a PM role anywhere else.

Which BU are you from? We heard about a few layoffs in Marketing and Sales but 7-8k is huge and not believable.

My husband got laid off on Monday. It's legit and seemed to be focused on the remote folks

Welcome to the new world of remote worker discrimination at Dell.
