Just took the Twilio Hacker-rank challenge and one of the questions wasn't even set up for my language. I switched to other languages (e.g. Java) and there was a bunch of boilerplate code that I didn't have. Do I just automatically fail? Wtf is up with Twilio not setting up the challenge for all languages? #twilio #hackerrank #onlineassessment #tech #interview
I refuse to indulge with companies that ask me to do hackerrank. Either give me a phone screen or take me to the onsite directly
Same here. If you don't have time for me I don't have time for you
They might not have enough spare engeering man hours to filter out legit candidates who can code. But I agree that if the recruiters reached out to you, and you worked at a good company, then they should bypass online assessments and go straight to a phone screen with a engineer.
what's the point of testing live coding for experienced people. as though people remember syntax.
What language had the boilerplate?
Java and python I think?
What language were you wanting to use? Was your HR challenge the one with two questions allowing 2hr total?
What were the questions like? Both LC Hard equivalent questions?
Talk to your recruiter. They should be able to rectify the situation.
