Elon cut Twitter down to the bones. Mark Zuckerberg decimated Meta and is looking to do it again. If these companies find greater success after their layoffs, every CEO will be pressured to do the same. The reason we do stack rankings is because every company tries to copy Jack Welch at General Electric. Nevermind that we now know GE's success came through accounting shenanigans. Companies since then focus on cutting the bottom 10% because they thought that's how successful companies did it. I hope Twitter and Meta get punished for these mega layoffs. Otherwise, it will be our companies doing the same thing tomorrow.
They'll burn
Both are suffering and will become irrelevant soon.
Meta also pays insane money.. It’s best time for them to downsize pay … SWE’s have enjoyed a decade full of money and no more it is a niche skill
Nah SWE will get paid more, not less.
seems like everything becomes a boomer pennypincher, eventually. IBM used to be top dog, and now everyone hates it.
Great use of the word decimated!

Any Indians Think Kashmir Should be Independent?
I don’t think they are actually succeeding. In the short term they may be ok, but Twitter is already falling apart from a technical standpoint, and Meta is a laughingstock now. Unless they change a lot, in 5 years they’ll be dust. Maybe they can pull it off, but it will be in spite of the layoffs, not because of them.
And Microsoft is beating Google in AI race.
