If your security is contingent around obscurity are your systems even secure
Why would it be a security risk?
This is going to make it easier to attempt the 'Design Twitter' questions in System Design interviews 😄
its a code review
Elon tweeted the design himself https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1593899029531803649?t=FKT8K7-FGO6cDraVkNKQPQ&s=19
OP - it is not a leak. It was published by the owner and CEO. This is called transparency. Not a leak. Use a little bit of common sense.
I swear these block diagrams are only useful if you were part of or during the conversation. This isn't even specific to Twitter. When someone else takes a look at the completed diagram, even if they're in the same team, they're going to ask wtf it is. It doesn't help that usually the handwriting is an illegible mess.
Yeah its not like someone looks at the block diagram and starts thinking that this is the holy grail of all distributed systems
Not really. Keeping architecture secret is overrated anyway.
"Leaked" 🤣 Twitter doesn't exactly keep this a secret and a lot of info has been public for a while in the Twitter Eng blog. https://blog.twitter.com/engineering
Twitter has much larger problems to worry about
