A Twitter engineer is posting on Twitter’s blind channel to get help from fired/ex Twitter colleagues to debug an issue on a weekend Source - https://twitter.com/dalmaer/status/1675490636844216321?s=46&t=xdSdMZwWIqZNnpYJT4Wh4w If this is true, it really shows what’s the state of Twitter engineers are right now. You cannot just fire everyone and expect those who are left will know everything magically. What do you guys think, how long will Twitter be there once meta launches threads?
Obviously that was a troll post. Probably made by someone that was already fired from Twitter but still had Blind access.
seems a bit too specific to be a troll post
How is that too specific? Anyone who's worked at Twitter or in one of those teams at Twitter can shitpost. If something big breaks prod, I can guarantee you that no one's going around asking blind/Twitter for help.
Twitteratti hate FB more than EM’s Twitter.
If Twitter ever dies, I can guarantee you whatever shit product meta puts out isn't going to be delivering the killing blow lmao.
It doesn't have to. Twitter can kill itself without help.
real rich coming from atlassian. you all make a product that everybody I’ve ever worked with would define is the worst part of their job having to use it
Lmao tried looking at your Twitter link and just repeatedly got a “Oops something went wrong”
I think OP's link is bad? https://twitter.com/dalmaer/status/1675490636844216321 - Edit: oh, I found it doesn't open when I click on blind, but works in chrome. Is this the thing about Elon saying "only logged in users can view tweets"
Yes
I’ll just leave this here.
Weird, yours doesn’t have the asymmetrically aligned loading spinner at the very bottom
Oh wait it was just cropped my b
I like Musk and I love the restoration of free speech but if Twitter fails I will just laugh.
“Restoration of free speech” get a grip lol. He’s a billionaire, not Martin Luther King.
Funniest is chamath , sacks and Elon calling other Elites.
I thought they open sourced so they could get free labor. Guess it doesn’t work like his daddy’s emerald mines. 🤷♀️
Quick somebody find this guy
ya, and he admitted he was wrong about everything and i believe left on poor terms with musk (was basically crap talking him. after)
If true, it sounds like they let go of the wrong people.
It's almost like if you fire half of your company on a moment's notice you will end up firing the wrong people.
Hey Twitter employee, it will be easier to debug if you print the code.
isn’t it open sourced?
It’s a reference to this absolute idiocy that happened after Elons acquisition

Anyone who helps this guy out is a clown. That said, Twitter is here to stay.
Twitter is dying and will die 😜 all big tech may also die and new big ones will be born…
Twitter is dying rapidly more faster than anyone had imagined. The 600 post limit is just the beginning. Software at scale is run with redundant cheaper components allowing for failures of components. Same is the case with people where redundancy of knowledge about a system is deliberate. Musklown thought he could do better. You can build the initial version with a small number of rockstar engineers but cannot keep improving it and run it at scale with that small number.
