Top-grading Round - Think I did well, tough to judge exactly because of how rapid fire the questions are but think i drew on some good experiences and displayed some growth throughout my career. System Design - Believe I did great, Was asked to do it in swift. I did a good job explaining how to use dependency injection, offline mode, a/b testing, also was able to sketch out good skeleton classes with documentation on how to implement the specific feature. Got confirmation from engineer all along the way when I moved to a new section that they agreed, clarified any questions. Was good conversation the whole time and never felt bad at all. Coding - Solved the problem, and talked about how we would solve it/modify if some of the requirements changed. Only thing is I struggled without code completion and looked sloppy in places, was able to clean it up eventually but def got flustered at parts answering questions while worrying about how it looked. Offer Chance? How does twitter Debrief? Does the phone screen matter at this point anymore? #tech #twitter #ios #onsite #interview
Seems like you cracked it! Can I DM you?
sure!
Thanks you!
Hey op i sent u a dm as well if u mind taking a look, thank you!
What’s the update OP
Sorry for late update. I ended up passing the bar.. but now I’m in this weird team match stage and talking with different managers. Have not committed to an offer yet.
Good job on passing!
Was the coding round similar to phone screen? My phone screen was algorithmic based but not leetcode style
What were the questions like? I have mine Thursday for iOS and wondering for systems should I be focusing more on iOS specific design? I’m going to dm you
yes more iOS specific like architecture pattern, caching, offline capability, etc
Ironic, Apple guys asking for help. When other folks tag Apple about what to expect in the interviews they go silent.
Hey OP, did the recruiter say they wanted to "debrief" after your onsite. I'm trying to predict if i got accepted or not lol
Sounds like u did good tbh
