I feel Twitter employees are having a nightmare with extreme working hours considering last week's 50% layoffs and again contractors layoffs. https://www.engadget.com/twitter-reportedly-cuts-contract-workers-173755779.html #twitter
Insanely bloated
I’m guessing this is how Meta will announce another 13k contract workers when it’s our turn
what those contractors do?
So they fired all the regular employees and kept the contractors!!!
You can’t just terminate the contract. Usually, there is a notice period that they should respect. At the same time we have employment at will. So probably they sent the notice and now the time is coming...
It’s due to OPEX/CapEX. Financial engineering to fudge financial reports.
What did 4400 contract workers accomplish in past 7 days
everyone keeps saying “bloated” but the app has taken a significant nose dive since these layoffs.
Yea, things are not looking well over there.
how
Twitter has 7500 Employees and 4400 contractors? Seems they were having a party on investor money
And did you ever see how many we have at Amazon 😅😂😂😂
Google (and a lot of tech companies) are almost exactly 50-50 employee vs contractors because the contractors are usually cheaper but there are laws that if more than half your workforce is contractors then they are granted some rights as employees blah blah the companies don’t want to deal with it so they keep it at just below the legal limit.
